Wang Hecker Files Brief Emphasizing Importance of Congestion Pricing to New Yorkers With Disabilities

Wang Hecker LLP, along with partners Mobilization for Justice, Inc. and New York Lawyers for the Public Interest, filed an amicus brief in the United State Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit in MTA v. Duffy, a lawsuit concerning the federal government’s attempts to end the congestion pricing program in New York.  The amicus brief was filed on behalf of seven nonprofit legal and other advocacy organizations in New York City that serve New Yorkers with disabilities.  The brief emphasizes that the congestion pricing program has already been a tremendous success in delivering concrete accessibility and mobility benefits to people with disabilities, including by funding accessibility improvements and by reducing traffic to enable the vehicles that actually need to be on the road — such as Access-a-Ride, buses, and emergency vehicles — to move efficiently.  Read the brief here.
